Artist Inspirations:
Black & White Series "The Inner World", 2009. It is a symbiosis of graphic art & oil paint made as a rite of passage. A celebration of Beauty's essence created when, as a 20 year-old, I had just blossomed out of my bittersweet teenhood. Looking past the very edge of an abyss luckily crossed, I finally surrender to a nostalgic introspection about that side of our living occurring deep inside oneself. An inner world so emotionally rich yet mostly minimalistic, self contained as it is. Deprived of the full exuberance of the color spectrum that exists only in the outside world because of the light. This minimal use of the painter's palette opened the emotional expression of my art. Painting to me is not about the colors, the painting first of all must become alive!

Biography:
Alexandra Morozova studied at the National Technical University of Ukraine 'Kyiv Polytechnic Institute' founded in 1898, and was selected as student at the Polygraphic Institute. She had Solo Exhibitions in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Her paintings were exhibited at the Central Art House of Ukraine, most becoming part of Private Collections worldwide(Luxembourg, Italy, Germany, Poland, France, USA, Russia, South Africa, etc.). She has also worked as a freelance graphic designer, making children's textbook illustrations. Alexandra was born in Kyiv, painting since the age of 5. She lives in an old historical house, with her dog Harley and the ghost of her black cat.
